Barely Lived: What happend in Onyx & Ivory (Spoiler)

Hello future raders,

I am currently writing this post, that you will probably read in about a year, because thats the time when the second book of the Rime Chronicles will come out. Today is the 26.07.2018. And since I just finished Onyx & Ivory I will now wirite down everything that happend. Because if you´re like me, you will have forgotten everything that happend in book 1 until the second one is out.

So here is everything that happend and will be important to remember:

The main protagonists:

Kate Brighton

Friends: Bonner (creator of Revolver), Signe (Her biggest secret: Special mixture of black powder)
In love with Corwin since she was little and they grew up together

fights with his brother in Uror for the thron
his mother got killed in a wilder attack

Kate is not living any longer in the capital, after her Father got decapitated for his attempt to kill the king. After years she meets Corwin coincidental in the streets, but he pretends not to know her. Soon he leaves the city again, but on their way back he and his crew get attacked by "Daydrakes". There have never before been any signs of dragons at day.

Kate is a courier and by chance she rides at the same path where Corwin got attacked. He is wounded and when more Daydrakes Show up, she is able to save herself and Corwin with the help of Bonners Revolver. Then she gets help to save his life.

Corwin and his friend Dal are faszinated by Bonners Revolver, but they don´t know that he is a Wilder. The Inquisition kills every Wilder, because they think they are dangerous. So they have to hide.

But Corwin makes them the offer to save the life of Bonners Father and so Kate, Bonner and Signe go back to the capital with him to live in the Palace.

Kate wants to find out, why her Father attacked the king, since her Father was the kings closest friend. She finds out, that she has a little brother and her Father wanted to convince the king, that wilders are not dangorous or evil. When the high king wouldn´t listen, her Father tried to minipulate his mind, but there was a magic spell that made the high king go mad.

Corwin wins the second challenge of the Uror against his brother. When he and Kate find out what happend to his Father, Kate tries to enter the kings mind and she knows everything that happend. But they get caught.

Rendborne Minister in the Palace, isn´t who he pretended to be. He is an ancestor of Corwin and in his year he killed the Uror animal to gain it´s power. Since then he tried to gain power and wants to rule the worls. After arresting Kate, Bonner, Signe and the rising (a Group of wilders Fighting for thier Rights - Kates Father was part of it and now she is, after she found her brother) Corwin Comes to rescue Kate. Signe can free them and it comes to a fight with the magicians. Kate kills Rendborns intimate (and love?) Vikas Rendborne wants to kill all of them. But Corwin can stop him with his Uror sign. Then Corwins brother shows up, and he hates wilders. So he wants to kill them all, but Kate manipulates their minds and everyone against them falls asleep.

At the end Corwin asks Kate to be his wife and she agrees.
